Chukuku, an indigenous community in Abuja, Nigeria has not allowed itself to be swallowed up by the aura of elegance and modernity that surround the fast-growing capital city. One way the community has done so is by retaining an age-long culture that bans the preparation of akara otherwise known as bean cake.
